Existe una identidad social negativa definida que se impone a la juventud negra cuando los medios niegan la idea del "héroe negro". Estas piezas rompen con esta identidad impuesta y exploran nuevas gamas. Es importante ver al protagonista negro, al líder negro, al triunfador negro.
Esta pieza vuelve a imaginar a Rapunzel como una mujer negra contemporánea. Tras una cuidadosa observación, esta Rapunzel ha conquistado a su propio retador y ha negado la mentalidad de salvador. El papel de la heroína infantilizada es del pasado. Tradicionalmente, la aplicación de la protección de las mujeres (como la violación según el derecho consuetudinario inglés) solo se validaba por su posición como propiedad del hombre, pero ¿dónde deja eso a las mujeres negras no deseadas? Este plano de interseccionalidad las deja como el grupo más indeseable y marginado, los cuerpos de las mujeres negras han sido considerados sin valor, inprotegibles incluso como propiedad. En esta pieza, quería que Repunzel negara esta posición y mirara más allá de un salvador reuniendo su propio poder interno para derrotar a su enemigo (como lo indica la lápida).

Returns: If you aren't entirely satisfied with any of my art products, you have 7 business days from receipt of the artwork to notify me of the return. After notification, you have 14 days to ship it back. Unfortunately, if the art hasn't been notified and shipped within this window I am unable to offer refunds or exchanges. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it. Return costs are the responsibility of the buyer. Damaged Packages: I am happy to replace, refund, or fix (if applicable) damaged art products at no cost to you. Please reach out within 21 days of delivery for any of these options. Unfortunately, if I haven't been notified within this window I am unable to offer refunds or exchanges. Lost Packages: If you never received your products, you have 60 days from the day you placed your order to notify me. All packages are sent with a tracking number. Tracking information is sent to the email account that you provided to us upon checkout. If your tracking information indicates that your package was delivered but you never received it, please contact me at amurisart@gmail.com and I can help contact local postal carriers or customs office (for international packages).
